About the role
We are currently looking for a local Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team. The role will be based in our Northern NSW office located in Kingscliff.
In this role you will work as an integral part of a project team producing detailed design and engineering documentation. Your focus will be to deliver superior value that is both cost effective and on time to our high quality client base throughout the region. You will be utilising your engineering skills, the latest programmes/tools, and be guided by your increasing knowledge of applicable standards and good design practices.
You will be delegated responsibilities and have clear performance criteria to guide your personal and professional career development and help with your success.
Westera has an ISO Accredited Quality Management System. It is the responsibility of all team members to comply with this system and to contribute to the continuous business improvement.
This is an entry level role where the ideal candidate will have up to a maximum of 2 years’ work experience and a keen interest in growing their experience base in civil project work. You will have a degree in engineering and work experience to demonstrate an understanding of all basic civil engineering principles, materials, good knowledge of civil design and applicable standards and codes. You will have good computer skills and have familiarity with AutoCAD and 12d modelling software.
You should have a personable approach and advanced communication skills. Your time management skills will see you capable to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and achieve tight deadlines. In summary you should be dedicated, efficient, motivated, proactive and enthusiastic.
Most importantly your passion to work as part of a civil engineering team providing designs and a service to our clients that is compliant, cost effective, value adding and creative will ensure your ongoing success and future development with Westera.
This role may also suit a candidate who is towards the end of their Degree in Engineering, as the Company may consider the successful applicant commencing work part time and then moving into a full time position once studies have been completed.
